Calvin joined the firm in March 2017. He began his career in London, relocating to East Anglia in 2002. Since then, Calvin has considerable experience as a Criminal Defence Solicitor, representing clients for offences from theft through to murder.
Calvin has a very good success rate as a trial lawyer in the Magistrates’ Courts and has a loyal following in the region, particularly in the Youth Courts, which is one of his specialisms.
Calvin has a strong reputation as a technical lawyer, with a sound understanding of legislation and case law. He is always thorough and strives to achieve the best result possible for his clients. He also enjoys travelling to Courts out of the area and has represented numerous clients, at their behest, across the country.
Several of his cases have attracted both local and national press interest. These include prosecuting companies responsible for the Ladbroke Grove and Hatfield train crashes. More recently he has represented individuals prosecuted for injuries caused by their dogs. Calvin has also successfully represented a client accused of robbery in Southend and one client in a high profile, multi-Defendant, murder case, in Luton.
Outside of work, Calvin enjoys playing football, cricket and golf. He has a keen interest in ice hockey and baseball and a love/hate relationship with his beloved NCFC!
