Julian Gibbons – Partner Business & Employment Services

Julian joined Norton Peskett in 1993, and became a partner in 1995. He switched to the law from science, having graduated in physics in 1977. He qualified as a solicitor in 1981 when he moved from Kent to Norfolk, where he has lived ever since. He has worked predominantly in litigation work throughout his career and was for many years a criminal lawyer and duty solicitor. In 2000 he was granted higher rights of audience in the criminal courts.

In 2008 Julian completed a two year post graduate diploma in Notarial Practice at the University of Cambridge and was admitted as a Notary Public.

Julian now specialises in various areas of Commercial work, including but not limited to:

• Company and Commercial law
• Company Acquisitions and Disposals
• Employment including tribunals
• Licensing
• Landlord and Tenant Law
• Civil Litigation
• Notarial work

Julian qualified as a Private Pilot in 2003 and has flown a variety of different aircraft. He presently flies a 60 year old de Havilland Chipmunk. His good command of French comes in useful in his Notarial work and he is a keen skier, which he maintains is the only sport he is any good at.
