Annette Hall is a Senior Solicitor and Higher Rights Advocate (Criminal). She is Head of Work type in Norton Peskett’s Great Yarmouth office and has overall responsibility for the Magistrates’ Court and Police Station work carried out in this office. Annette enjoys managing and working with the Great Yarmouth Criminal Team and is extremely keen and enthusiastic in promoting Norton Peskett. She is very proud of the very strong Criminal Team that Norton Peskett has and plays a vital role in representing every client to the best of her ability and ensuring that the service that the Criminal Department give is second to none. Annette has specific expertise in Youth Court work, which she describes as both challenging and rewarding. She represents a large spectrum of clients in all aspects of Criminal Defence work, although she does have experience in Prosecution work. Annette thoroughly enjoys the Advocacy side of her job as well as representing clients at the Police Station. She also enjoys representing clients’ at Trial.
Annette joined Norton Peskett in 2003 after working for a number of years in Criminal Litigation Departments in a number of Norwich based firms. She attended Thames Valley University, London where she was awarded her LLB (Hons) degree and remained at the same University to complete the Legal Practice Course where she gained her Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice with a Distinction. (A qualification she is still very proud of).
When not working, Annette enjoys painting and drawing and has completed commissions of her work for a number of people. She is also at present planning a layout for her model railway. Although unfortunately she seems to have in mind a rather ambitious/large layout which she fears may not fit into the house! Annette is also a great Agatha Christie fan and in recent years has enjoyed visiting Agatha Christies’ summer retreat in Devon and has been on a cruise down the Nile in true Agatha Christie style, on one of the two remaining Steam Ships in existence. She has as a result become extremely interested in Egyptology and whilst cruising down the Nile and visiting the magnificent Temples she quite expected to see Poirot!!! A must on her ‘trips abroad list’ is to travel on the Orient Express across Europe.
